Your wedding day is one of the most important and special days of your life. You will want your day captured by images that you can treasurer forever. They will remind you of the special moments and of the people who shared your day. Your photographs are a tangible keepsake. Choosing your wedding photographer is one of the most important decisions of your planning.
You are likely to have several questions before making a booking.
Common Questions
Part 1 – Questions About Your Requirements
Can we meet before our wedding to discuss our plans and photography requirements?
Yes – The meeting will take place at my studio and it is free of charge. Furthermore, there is no obligation or commitment on your part. I understand that your decision is important to you.
Lots of couples are not sure what they require for their wedding photography and many require other services or products after their wedding such as slideshows and canvas prints. It is much easier to decide all of your possible requirements before your wedding so that you get all of the images that you might need. If I know the requirements for your wedding photography I can shoot accordingly. I will advise you throughout the process.
How many images will I receive?
I provide no information about the number on images provided as it will depend on your photography requirements, the weather and the events schedules for the day. I will however, discuss your requirements with you before your wedding to ensure that you get the images that you require.
How long will it take to get the photos?
Your edited processed images will be available to you via an online password protected gallery. You can choose to share your gallery with family and friends. Professional albums and slide shows take longer to process and are subject to your requirements. I will do my very best to get your images to you as soon as possible and most of my clients receive their images within one week.
Part 2 – Questions About Your Photos
Can I print the images that you have supplied?
Yes, you will receive high resolution images via an online private gallery. They are suitable to print up to 18″ X 12″. You are licensed to use them for personal use. If you have a really special image that you want to print bigger than 18″ X 12″ perhaps as a canvas or as an acrylic I can process these for you for a small charge.
Are your images watermarked?
No – Your images supplied to you will be free of any watermarks.
Can you supply wedding albums or photo books?
Yes I have a range of different sized photo books and wedding albums with options for layflat pages, hard back photo covers, faux leather etched covers and box sets.
Part 3 – Questions About Me and My Service
Are you a full time professional photographer?
Yes – I work full time as a professional photographer, capturing many subjects and love it. This means that I have the time to process and deliver your wedding images promptly. I have photographed weddings as an amateur and as a professional for many years. I therefore know the format of the day and when photo opportunities are likely to arise.
Do you provide small hours coverage?
Yes my wedding package starts at 2 hours and you can increase this in hourly increments.
Do you photograph small wedding parties?
The modern trend is for small informal weddings. Some couples like to elope and have their wedding in secret. I have photographed weddings that consist of only the bride and groom. These couples have required professional photographs of their wedding to show their friends and relatives when they get home.
Is VAT payable on top on your prices?
I am not registered for VAT. Consequently there is no VAT added to the prices that I quote.
Do you charge for travel costs?
No – I only photograph weddings in Norwich, Norfolk and North Suffolk. These costs are therefore already included in my package.
Are you insured and how do you reduce risk?
Yes I am insured. To reduce risk I also use a second camera body and flashgun plus other equipment just in case something goes wrong. As soon as I get home from your wedding your images are downloaded and backed up to 2 separate hard drives.
I also have 4 camera batteries, lots of AA batteries to use in my flashguns and lots of memory cards to ensure that I am well prepared for your wedding.
What will you wear on our wedding day?
I will wear a suit and tie and blend in with your wedding guests unless you instruct otherwise.
Part 4 – Questions About Your Wedding Day
Can you photograph our wedding ceremony?
Yes – However, there are normally restrictions when photographing your ceremony such as not using flash and not photographing you signing the official register. I use natural light to take your ceremony photos. A dummy register enables me to take your signing of the register shots.
Do you take group shots?
Yes – Most weddings normally have some group shots. Weddings with a small number of guests (less than 40) are very easy to accommodate. Weddings with a large number of guests (over 100) can be more difficult. I recommend that you do not have more than 8 group shots and I can offer advice on how best to organise your groups.
What happens if it rains on my wedding day?
It should not be a problem as I always visit new venues that I have not visited before to ensure there are locations available to use in the event of bad weather. It is rare for the weather to be so bad that there is no opportunity during the day for outdoor shooting. In a worse case scenario if the weather is really bad your photographs can be taken indoors. On Rhona and Stuart Love’s wedding day it rained all day. Rhona said “Yes the weather was annoying especially as the weather either side of Saturday was lovely. It certainly did not dampen our spirits and your photos are excellent”. See Rhona and Stuarts testimonial.

Part 5 – Other Questions
Can you accommodate my limited budget?
Your wedding day can be very expensive so I understand that you might need to budget carefully. My wedding photography package is very affordable. You can choose the number of hours of coverage and furthermore you can add products to suit your budget.
Do you attend wedding fairs?
No – I get sufficient work without the need to attend wedding fairs. Wedding fairs commonly cost between £250 – £500. Some cost even more. The reason I am able to offer affordable prices to you is because I do not need to recover the overhead costs of attending wedding fairs.
Do you have a wedding photography brochure?
Yes you can request a brochure by clicking here. It provides information about my wedding photography packages and other wedding related services such as:-
- An engagement photo shoot on location in the beautiful Counties of Norfolk and Suffolk
- A Cherish or Trash the Dress photo shoot
How can we book you?
You can secure my services by completing a booking form and paying a deposit. The balance is due approximately one month prior to your wedding.
