About the Suffolk Landscape

1. Habitats

Suffolk is a beautiful county on the east coast of England. Ipswich is the largest town in the county. The seaside town of Lowestoft by the North Sea is also the most easterly point in the United Kingdom.

The County has a beautiful coastline. It is known as the sunshine coast because by facing east it is a super place to see the sun rise. This offers all sorts of creative photographic opportunities. My favourite places to visit are Southwold, Walberswick, Covehithe, Thorpeness and Aldburgh. These are also great places to enjoy summer days on the beach and go rambling.

The County also has a variety of habitats including coastal, farmland, heathland and woodland. There are also many pretty villages to visit such as Lavenham, Kersey, Long Melford, Polstead, Somerleyton, Clare, Cavendish and Earl Soham. Some village views have an almost chocolate box quality and offer some great opportunities for photography.

2. Towns and Villages

Towns are some of the best places for landscape photography. If you would like to see images and learn more about the major towns and villages in Suffolk, click on the links below:-
