I provide one of the most competitive and affordable packages for Norwich Castle wedding photography. When the Norwich registry office moved to the Castle this year Mark and Gemma’s wedding was my first as a photographer at this new venue. I have since photographed many weddings at the Norwich Registry Office.

Norwich Castle dominates the skyline is a key landmark building in the centre of the City. You enter the Castle via the main visitor entrance and turn right into the waiting room. This leads onto the Benefactors Room where you will be married. This is a light, bright room ideal for wedding photography. See my article about facilities in and around Norwich Castle if you would like to know more. After your ceremony there are numerous photo opportunities on the Castle mound, using the City of Norwich as a backdrop.
Mark and Gemma’s Wedding
Mark and Gemma pictured above married on Saturday 23rd April 2016. The date also happens to be St Georges Day. The colour theme for the wedding was naturally red, white and blue.
I decided to leave early to photograph the Castle Gardens and to seek out some suitable backdrops for the photo shoot after the wedding ceremony. When I arrived at the Castle Mall car park it was full with a long queue. I decided to park at the nearby Rouen Road car park.
Unfortunately the weather on that day was variable. It was cold and one of those days when we got hail, rain and bright sun within a few minutes of each other. As I walked up the hill towards the Castle the rain was lashing down. As I arrived at the gardens the sun came out. I captured some lovely images of the Castle and the gardens.
Mark and Gemma are a lovely couple and their wedding ceremony was a joy to be part of. They engaged me for two and half hours to cover their wedding, a photo shoot in the Castle grounds and some more photos that were taken at Tasburgh Village Hall the reception venue.
The wedding ceremony took place in the Benefactors Room at Norwich Castle. It is a light bright room and accommodates around 50 people. Flash is not allowed during the wedding ceremony. It was great to have a naturally lit room to take photographs.
After the ceremony we walked down to the Castle Gardens where the bluebells were in bloom. The skies were leaden and I was hopeful that it would not rain for the next hour. Then suddenly strong hash sunlight appeared. So to overcome the problem of shadows being cast onto peoples faces, I moved the photo shoot into the shade under a nearby bridge.
Mark and Gemma were delighted with their photos. They sent to me some lovely words that you can see with some of my other wedding testimonials.
